I am the FCOB Distinguished Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting and Management Information Systems at the Fisher College of Business, The Ohio State University. Previously, I spent a decade as a faculty member at the University of Illinois Chicago’s College of Business Administration, and worked as a Research Staff Member at IBM Research.

My research focuses on Generative AI, Data Mining, Human-AI Interaction, and Digital Platforms. I publish in leading business and data science venues such as Information Systems Research (ISR), MIS Quarterly (MISQ), AAAI, ICWSM, and others. My work has received multiple Best Paper Awards and Nominations from the International Conference on Information Systems (2021), Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (2021), Workshop on Information Technologies and Systems (2018, 2020, 2024), Conference on Information Systems and Technology (2017, 2023), INFORMS Annual Conference (2017, 2022), and the ACM CHI Conference (2013). My dissertation received a Letter of Commendation from the President of Arizona State University.

My research and perspectives have been featured in national and international media outlets, including the LSE Business Review, The Verge, ABC News, WIRED, HuffPost, and PBS. My work has also led to several patents.

I earned my Ph.D. in 2014 from Arizona State University. Along the way, I’ve been fortunate to spend time at several inspiring institutions, including internships at Microsoft Research and Avaya Labs Research.
